John Channell, age 87, 0f Pleasantville, NJ passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at his home. He was born in Absecon, NJ and was a resident of this area for most of his life. John served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He enjoyed watching his Phillies play ball; his antique cars and going to car shows. He especially loved to go roller skating with his wife. John also enjoyed playing the lottery and scratch off tickets. He had many friends and wonderful neighbors that will miss him. John is predeceased by his wife, Catherine Channell. He is survived by three children; Jackie Maxwell and her husband Rich, John Channell and his wife Gay and David Channell and his wife Dawn; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; his brother, George Channell and two nieces and nephew, Debra Dickerson, Doris Ross and Smokey Taylor. Services will be held on Monday, November 12, 2012 at 11:00 at the Saint Katherine Drexel R.C. Church, 6075 West Jersey Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, NJ where friends may call from 9:30 am until time of services at the church.
