Nunzi, Emma, of Egg Harbor Twp., died peacefully at home on the morning of Sunday, December 23, 2012. She grew up in South Philly and after high school graduation worked as a machinist for the government at the Navy Yard during WW II. She continued these skills at Clifton Percision, where her precise work was selected to be used in the early stages of the US Space Program. As a young woman, Emma enjoyed socializing with her friends and was always fashionably dressed. She fondly recalled swimming excursions and rollerskating. Later in her life, Emma loved to go to the racetrack to pick the winning horses, and to play slot machines at the casinos, having much luck at both pursuits. She was a wonderful cook and made the most delicious holiday cookies for her family and friends. Emma was predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Anna Di Lallo; siblings Theresa, Mae, and Danny; and her husband, Raymond. She is survived by her son, Ray Nunzi of Egg Harbor Twp; grandchildren Laura Nunzi of Philadelphia, and Ray Nunzi of Ocean City; and loving nieces, nephews and dear friends. On Sunday, January 6, 2012 at 2:00pm a memorial service will be held to honor Emma at the Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor Park, 109 State Highway 50, Estell Manor.
