Robinson, Raymond E went home to be with the Lord on January 22, 2013 at home surrounded by love ones. Born in Stamford, Conn., Ray lived in Absecon most of his adult life. Ray served in the Navy from 1943-1946. He fought in World War II, seeing action at Normandy and in the Pacific Theater. He began his working career in the woodworking and furniture business, which grew into a lifetime passion. He later worked as a health and safety inspector for both the state of NJ and then the Federal government where he retired in 1987. Ray is survived by his wife of 65 years, Myrtle; daughter Linda (George) Carpenter, son Carl (Teresa) Robinson, grandchildren Charity Taajes, Nathan (Jennifer) Robinson, Luke (Lacey) Robinson and 5 great grandchildren. Predeceased by son, Leon, grandson Joshua Carpenter, grandson-in-law Derek Taatjes and great grandson Dylan Taatjes. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 26, 10:00-11:30 and Funeral ceremony 11:30 at Adams Perfect Funeral Home, Northfield NJ; Interment Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor, NJ.
