Michael Mazza

Michael Mazza of Northfield passed away on February 12, 2013. He was born and raised in Northfield on the family farm. He was predeceased by his wife Anne (Hewitt) and his son, Michael. He is survived by his daughters Joanne Mazza Weber (Fred) and Patricia Printz (Rob), and five grandchildren: Michael Mazza, Sara and Joanna Weber, and Matthew and Michael Printz. He is also survived by six great grandchildren. Michael was a farmer in Northfield for most of his life and also worked as a foreman on the Atlantic City Expressway. He served as a Northfield Councilman for twenty years. He was the Vice-President of the Atlantic County Market Growers Association. Michael joined the Northfield Volunteer Fire Department in 1945 and became of life member in 1969. He was Vice-President of the Fire Department, a member of the Atlantic County Fireman’s Association, and a life member of the New Jersey State Fireman’s Association. He helped establish Birch Grove Park. He was a member of the Sons of Italy and St. Gianna Senior Citizens Club. A viewing will be held at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home in 1650 New Road Northfield on Monday, February 18, 2013 from seven until nine PM as well as on Tuesday from 10am until the time of the mass at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish/ St. Bernedettes Church in Northfield. Interment will be at Zion Church Cemetery, Bargintown, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Otto Bruyns Library or the Northfield Volunteer Fire Department.
