Terry Nash Jr., 85 – passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on November 18th. Terry was a remarkable person who was admired by everyone and he will be dearly missed by his loved ones. Born in Atlantic City in 1928, Terry grew up in his family’s restaurant business. He graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1946. After attending the hospitality school at Cornell University, he met and married the love of his life, Joyce Spero. Terry served as an officer in the Quarter Master Corp of the United States Army. He was a former President of the Stewart’s and Caterer’s Association, former President of the Atlantic City Kiwanis Club, and former Chairman of the Boardwalk Division of the Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce. He was also the former business owner of Nash’s Restaurants; Nash’s Inn, The Ebb Tide, Nash’s Townhouse, Nash’s Beef and Batter, and Nash’s Food and Spirits, all a part of Atlantic City history from 1944-1986. An adventure traveler before the phrase was coined, Terry’s true loves were sailing his Choy Lee and flying Cessnas along the eastern seaboard and the Caribbean. Terry is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Joyce; his sister; Dr. Veronica Nash of Sonoma, California; son Randy (Meg), his twin daughters Debbie, his loving caregiver (Jerry) and Bobbie (Dan); his nephews; Mark (Tu), David, and Chris (Amy), all of California; his grandchildren Brittany, Meryl, Grace, Lindsay, and Ryan; and great grandchildren Noah, Zed, and Khaya.
