Ralph John DeLucas, affectionately known as the “General”, age 84, of Somers Point, NJ went home to be with the Lord on December 5, 2013.
Ralph was born and raised in Haddonfield, NJ. He graduated from Haddonfield High School and served in the United States Army. He received his BA from Temple University in Business Administration and was employed at RCA, Deptford, NJ, for 35 years as a
retail pricing manager. While at RCA, he received top honors in 1958, for suggesting a means for mechanizing and maintaining IBM files. Mr. DeLucas was also a member of the American Legion and a diehard fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles! His sense of humor and love for his family will be greatly missed. His grandchildren and great grandchildren always enjoyed being with their “Special Pop-pop”.
Ralph was precedeased by Anne, wife of 32 years, and Elinor, wife of 22 years. He is survived by his children; Joyce Menchaca (Ed), Nancy Polt (Bob), May Kendell (Ted) and Gil Cornwall (Edna Lynn); and loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 9, 2013 from 9:00 am to 9:30 am with a funeral service at 9:30 am at the Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield, NJ. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
