Sarkis, Helen, G., 88, of Galloway, peacefully passed away on December 26, 2013, at the Mainland Division of Atlanticare. Helen was born and raised in Pleasantville, NJ, and was long time resident of Galloway, NJ.
Helen worked in the meat department of ShopRite of Absecon, from where she retired, after 25 years of service. She was a member of UFCW Local 152. Helen was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW, and was proud of her service as a Conductress. Helen enjoyed traveling, and taking in Broadway shows.
Helen was predeceased by her mother, Blanche M. Parker, her father, Hurley S. Parker, her first husband, Isaac Brown, her second husband, Ronald E. Sarkis, and her late brother, George Parker.
She is survived by her children, sons, Donald Brown (Mary Lou), Glen Sarkis, Allen Sarkis, and daughter Denise Sarkis-Irish (Steve), sister Betty Jones (Willard), brothers Earl Parker (Marion), Paul Parker, Gene Parker (Sharon), grandson, Derek Brown (Eileen), great-grandchildren, Philomena, Therese, and Michael Brown, as well as many beloved nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, step-grandchildren, and very close friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 1pm to 2pm, on Monday, December 30, 2013, at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Rd, in Northfield. A memorial service and life celebration will follow at 2pm.
