Peter Joseph Patane, of Egg Harbor Township, 75 years old, passed away at his home on July 3, 2014 with his family by his side. Peter was born and raised in South Philadelphia and attended South Catholic H.S. and Temple University. He relocated to Atlantic County in 1974 with his wife and children and was employed by the State of New Jersey. Peter was an avid fisherman and gardener. He loved nature, the outdoors and living at the shore. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joanne (nee Cianfrani); son Joseph and his wife Christina; daughter Terri Anne Hiles, Esq. and her husband Douglas and three beloved grandchildren; Alyssa, Joey and Dougie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Anna Patane. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P.O.
