Mariono Perri “Mario” “Scrambles” passed away on August 12, 2012 at the age of 85 years.
He was born on December 14, 1926 in Linwood, NJ. He will always be remembered by his family and friends as a kind, generous, and loving person. He served in two tours in the Navy, worked as a pie and bread salesman, and was also a bartender at Caesars Italian Restaurant in Mays Landing.
He also enjoyed his time visiting his daughters Janet and Jenene in south Florida, and was always a big hit at the whale’s rib. Among his favorite activities were playing his lottery numbers, betting on his horses, playing blackjack, and driving to and from Florida.
He is predeceased by his daughter Marion Perri Teschner, his siblings, , Jenny Smith, Kay Cesario, Frank, Louie and Dominick Perri. He survived by his wife Helena and children Joseph Perri Diane Buchman, Anthony Perri, Jenene and Janet Perri and two grandchildren Antonia Teschner and husband John Davis, and grandson Richard Buchman Jr.
He is also survived by his sister Carmena Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday August 16th at Saint Gianna Beretta Molla Parish / St. Bernadette Church, 1421 New Road, Northfield, NJ. Friends may call from 9:30am to 11:30am.
Interment will be immediately following the mass at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor, NJ.
