Hunton, Rachelle Lee “Miss Rachelle”,of Pleasantville, fell asleep in death on August 22, 2014. Rachelle was born in York, SC on December 4, 1926 to Annie Mae and Thomas Jackson. She was a loyal Jehovah’s Witness for over 40 years, and had attended the Pleasantville and Bargaintown congregations. She was predeceased by her daughter, Geneva Terrell on October 29, 2013. She is survived by her daughters, Katie, Muriel, Theresa, and Ramona; her sons, Steven, and Alton James; a great many grandchildren; as well as great-grands, the most recent being Elijah James Terrell (eight months). Rachelle was the oldest of ten siblings. She is survived by sisters Mary, Emaline, Shirley, and Frances; and was predeceased by siblings Thomas, Jr., Richard, Arthur, Dorothy, and Ermitt. Rachelle was known for her outspokenness and witty humor. She loved so many beautiful things, especially her gardening – no one dare match her skills on how to care for plants and flowers. That was one of her passions in life. Most recently she had to deal with a downward spiral regarding her health, but managed to stay strong the best she could until she was overcome. She remained faithful by preaching and teaching through the means of telephone, writing letters, etc. She took advantage of relaying the message about Jehovah’s great words the best she could. Her words and thoughts will be missed very much. Rachelle and millions of others look forward to the promise mentioned in Isaiah 33:24, “And no residence will say, ‘I am sick’.” A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 1:00pm at Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witness, 3550 Bargaintown Road, Egg Harbor Township. Arrangements entrusted to and condolences may be left for her family at: adams-perfect.com
