Field, Robert D., “Pop-Pop”, 93 of Pleasantville, passed away on the morning of Sept. 10, 2014 with his loving family by his side. He was born on December 31, 1920 in Pleasantville, to the late Joseph and Mary Field. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Gertrude (Trudy) in 2007. He is survived by his loving sons: Robert D. Field Jr. and his wife, Carol of NY, Steven D. Field and his wife, Mary of LA, and Gary D. Field and his wife, Jean of NJ. Also survived by seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was born and raised in Pleasantville, where he met the love of his life in high school, Gertrude Barbra (nee Foster) Field. They were happily married for 60+ years. As a young man he served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He worked for the NJ Bell Telephone company for 40+ years of service. He was involved with many community organizations: the Pleasantville Ambulance Corp, Past Master with the Masonic Lodge, the Shriners, and the Tall Cedars. He was the last of 12 siblings in the Field Family. A visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 from 9:30am to 11:00 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield. Interment will follow in Laurel Memorial Park, Pomona.
