Forshaw, Laura Woltmann, 85, of Egg Harbor Twp, passed away surrounded by her family, on June 20, 2012. She was a loving, caring, devoted wife, mother, and friend to all who knew her. Born in Pleasantville in 1927, she was a life-long resident of Northfield. Laura graduated from Pleasantville High School, Class of 1946, where she was a member of the Phi Delta Tau Sorority.
Laura served as a homemaker, and secretary of the family business. In 1975, she began a long career at Shore Memorial Hospital in both the Dietary and CVIR departments. She was awarded “Employee of the Year” in 1989, for demonstrating compassion for her job and the people she served.
During her life, she volunteered as a 4-H leader, member of the Northfield Mother’s League, Audubon Society, and life-time mother of the Northfield Gunning Club. Laura loved the outdoors and animals, especially her dogs and the critters that surrounded her home. Her hobbies included gardening and crafts. She was an avid fan of her beloved Phillies and Nascar.
Laura is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Edwin Forshaw. She is survived by her loving children, Diane (Dave) Rose, Richard (Linda) Forshaw, Robert (Sally) Forshaw, of Egg Harbor Twp, and Susan (Matt) Evans of McKinney, TX; grandchildren, Julie, Bryan (Tina), Robert Jr., and Daniel Forshaw, of Egg Harbor Twp, Michele Estes, Tom and Laura Evans of McKinney, TX, great-granddaughter, Emilia Forshaw, Nephews, Bucky, Billy, and Bobby Woltman, and godson Tom Braddock, of Tampa, FL
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am, on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Rd, in Northfield. A service will follow at 11 am, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Egg Harbor Township Rescue Squad 3125 Fire Rd, Egg Harbor Twp, NJ 08234.
