Luis “Calabasa” A. Aponte Sr. passed away of natural causes on May 20th 2015, in AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. He passed away peacefully and surrounded by all his children, his grandchild and his wife of 53 years. Calabasa was born in Ponce Puerto Rico in 1939. He resided in Bronx N.Y., before relocating to Atlantic City 25 years ago. He retired from the Sands Casino in 2004. A viewing will be held at the Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield, New Jersey 08225 from 10:30 AM to 1 PM on Saturday May 23rd.
