Birts, Harold, 82 years of Pleasantville, went home to be with the Lord from home on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Born in Camden on March 2, 1933 to the late Fred and Eunice (Everhart) Birts. Moved to Pleasantville around 1937 and attended Pleasantville Schools. He joined US Air force in 1952, rose to the rank Staff SGT, and received honorable discharge in 1956. He retired from U.S. Postal System (Atlantic City Branch) as Postal Clerk after 23 years and from Atlantic City Expressway as Toll Collector after 19 years. Harold was an avid football fan, had a passion for motor vehicles, and a sense of humor (he loved to laugh). He was predeceased by his wife, Cynthia Delores Cornelius of 58 years; and ten siblings. Harold is survived by his children, Harold Fred (Lorraine) Hampton, VA, Michelle, Warren, and Kia of Pleasantville; three grandchildren, Gerald Sr. (Cebrina), Tonesha, and Tiffany; great grandchildren Oyana & Gerald Jr, Birts; brother Robert (Bernice) Birts Hempstead, NY; sisters Deborah Birts of Galloway and Delores Birts Forbes of Madison, AL; and a host of family and friends. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor. Arrangements by Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes, Inc.
