Latta, Dr. Richard S., 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at his home in Linwood, N.J. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Richard was the only child of the late Elizabeth and Samuel Latta. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania and earned a medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Richard’s career as a physician of family practice and emergency medicine spanned five decades in the tri-state area. Richard was a man of great ingenuity and could often be found in his work shop playing his trumpet or creating and building, most recently a single engine aircraft, one of his great passions. He had a love of nature and frequently walked and cycled on the boardwalk of Ocean City and other scenic areas of southern New Jersey. Richard is survived by his five children and spouses: Kim Fialcowitz (Robert), Robin Benito (Simon), Wayne Latta (Debbie), Kurt Latta (Gina) and Todd Latta; ten grandchildren and seven great grand children. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to and condolences for the family may be left at Adams-Perfect.com
