Rhoades, Joseph – 75 of Egg Harbor Township, passed away after a long battle and amongst family in Philadelphia, PA., on October 22, 2015. A lifelong resident of EHT, Joseph was a beloved father and husband with a huge heart and a great sense of humor. He loved to make people laugh and enjoyed doing the simple things in life; like cooking, golfing in his spare time, and most importantly, spending time with family. Joseph was a member of the Painters Union Local 277 and was employed at Caesars Casino for over 20 years. He earned many certificates of trade early on in his life, including carpentry, cabinetry, and later painter and paperhanging. He continued to excel throughout his lifetime and retired as foreman of the Caesars Hotel and Casino paint shop in Atlantic City. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathryn (Collins) Rhoades; two sons, Joseph and Michael Rhoades; and his two daughters, Donna and Kimberley Rhoades. He is also survived by his father, Albert Ganotta; sister Patricia Allen; and brother Jim Gross; as well as four grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas and Jack Rhoades and Christian Artigianni; as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be severely missed and remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever. Family and friends are welcome to attend a viewing on Tuesday, October 27th from 6-8pm at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield. A mass/celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, October 28th at 10am at Church of Saint Bernadette, 1421 New Road, Northfield. Interment will be held in Zion Cemetery.
