Ney, Meredith Lynn – 43 of Egg Harbor Township, beloved daughter of Joanne Ney and the late Martin Ney, passed away suddenly on December 4th. Meredith attended Absecon Schools and graduated from Holy Spirit High School in 1990. Upon graduation she attended Wesley College in Dover, Delaware and graduated in 1995 with a degree in both Psychology and Liberal Arts. Meredith became employed at the Sands Hotel and Casino and then Bally’s Park Place Hotel and Casino as a Human Resource Representative. She went on to become a Job Coach Specialist and Customer Service/Hospitality Instructor for the Job Readiness Program at Atlantic Cape Community College. She then became employed by Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa as an Employment Counselor for the grant funded Atlantic City Jobs and Opportunities Program. Meredith’s final employment was that of an Intergenerational Case Worker for Atlantic County. Meredith was predeceased by her grandparents, John and Bella Paparone, and Martin and Rita Ney; and her loving father, Martin Ney, who idolized her. She is survived by her mother, Joanne Ney; her brothers, Marty and his wife Charity, and Michael and his wife Suzanna; her two nephews, Austin and Thomas; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Meredith was always a very loving, generous, and caring person. She will be missed by her family, many friends, colleagues, and especially her furry friends. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 12th from 10:00am to 11:00am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am. Entombment will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing. In lieu of flowers, donations in Meredith’s name may be made to the Atlantic County Humane Society, 1401 Absecon Blvd., Atlantic City, NJ 08401.
