Gately, Deborah C (nee Powers)”Debbie”, born on 11/3/1961 died 4/17/2016. Debbie went to be with Our Lord peacefully at Atlanticare Medical Center in Atlantic City surrounded by many members of her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Mary Powers and nephews John Powers and Adam LaBarre. Debbie leaves behind her loving husband John and daughter Amanda and stepsons David and Craig. Brothers, Harry Powers (Linda), John Powers (Marion), Michael Powers, Robert Powers (Julie) Sisters, Judy Warriner, Peggy Boone (George), Donna Carrafiello (Michael), Kathy Howard (Fred), Susan Czacharowski, and Mary Powers. She also leaves behind a large number of nieces and nephews. Debbie was born in Somers Point and lived her entire life in Northfield. She attended Mainland High School. Debbie and John were married on 10/31/1987. She worked several years in banking and also operated a home child care service for many years. Debbie was a very friendly and outgoing person who could always find a way to make you laugh. She was a member of St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish and especially enjoyed being a member of the church choir. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish 1421 New Road Northfield, NJ 08225 on Thursday April 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Friends may call prior to the mass from 10AM until 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
