David Rose

Rose, David A., 64 of Egg Harbor Township, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on November 12, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Bay City, MI to Jerome and Barbara Rose, he was a graduate of Central High and Saginaw Valley State College with a degree in criminal law. David joined the Navy and was Command Investigator on USS Independence. He worked for the Bay City Sheriff’s Dept. and was awarded the American Police Hall of Fame Silver Star for bravery, in addition to many other awards. He worked for Harrah’s as an investigator up until his passing.

David was a big Michigan Wolverine, Detroit Tigers, Phillies, and Nascar fan.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Diane (nee Forshaw); his parents; his siblings, Barbie Vandenbelt, Pat Smith (Jim), and Rick Rose (Lynn) of Bay City, MI; brothers-in-law Richard (Linda), and Robert Forshaw (Sally) of Egg Harbor Twp.; sister-in-law Susan Evans (Matt) of McKinney, TX; and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many friends, and his dog, Kristi.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 3:00pm at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield. Visitation will be held from 2:00pm until the time of the service. Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gilda’s Club South Jersey, 700 New Road, Linwood, NJ 08221.
