VOLA, ALFRED J. of Egg Harbor Twp, 67, passed away on November 11, 2013 after a short battle with cancer. He was a devoted husband, loving father and adored by his family and friends. He was born 10 Sept 1946 in Atlantic City NJ to Ida and Alfred Vola.
He graduated from Holy Spirit HS and received his Bachelor’s degree from St. Francis University & an MBA from Monmouth University. He was a 1st Lt in the Army and spent the bulk of his career as a Claims Supervisor with Atlantic Electric. The things he enjoyed most in life were his family, friends, the beach, Caribbean vacations, and sharing his life with his wife of 45 years Cathy. He was the most generous, thoughtful, and caring husband, father, and friend whose love and kindness left an indelible mark on every life he came in contact with.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Cathy, son Dan, daughter in-law Annie, grandson Grant, brother David Bowen (Donna), and sisters Gloria Barone and Janet Bowen. He was predeceased by his mother Ida Bowen, step father Joe Bowen, and Brother Joe Bowen Jr., and many loving nieces and nephews. We love and miss you Dad.
A Visitation will be held on Friday evening, November 15, 2013 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 12 noon at Saint Gianna Beretta Molla Parish / Saint Bernadette Church, 1421 New Road, Northfield, NJ. Burial will be held at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ.
