Gettle, Anthony W., Sr., 69 of Ventnor, passed away at ARMC City Division on Saturday, September 13, 2014. He was a native of Atlantic City, and a life long resident of this area. Tony was a retired AC Police officer after 37 years of service. He was a member of the Atlantic City P.B.A. and the Atlantic County Retired Police and Fireman Association. He was a past master of Justice Lodge. He enjoyed traveling, hiking and camping, and spending time with his family, which was the most important thing in his life. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Wendy Gettle (nee Walfish); sons Richard Gettle, and Steven Gettle (Tabitha Wernik); brother John Eisenlohr (Donna); sisters Ronnie Bacharach, Eileene Platt (Darry), and Rosemarie Warner (Ray); special friends Sue and Mike Skudalski; the love of his life, granddaughter Isabella Gettle; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, September 17th from 2-3 PM with a service to follow at 3 PM at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield.
