Mary Kazmarck, 93, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Ocean City on Saturday, August 25, 2012. She was pre-deceased by Alexander Kazmarck, her husband of over 60 years. Mary and her husband Alexander moved from Chester, PA to Ocean City in 1950 with their two children; Mary and Alexander, Jr. She and her husband built the first motel in Ocean City and operated the Sifting Sands Motel for over 40 years. Mary loved traveling, gardening,and planting her roses and clematis. She was a great cook and the door was always open. We wanted to call her apartment after retiring Mom’s soup kitchen. She will be missed.
She is survived by her two children; Mary and Alexander, grandchildren; Jaime, Wesley and wife, Darcy, Bill, Brian, Christopher and great grandchildren; Piper and Liam Kazmarck. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law; Jenny Kazmark, and Sophie Holak and her husband, Bill, many nieces and nephews and her devoted care-takers; Alana and Andrea, who made her last days better than anyone could ask for.
