Edmond Suez

Suez, Jr., Edmond U. “Eddie”, 79, of Longport, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014. Born June 15, 1934, to the late Edmond and Onelia Suez. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Donna O’Connor Suez; Arabesque and Gypsy; cousins, Louise Albenese, Phyllis Marchavechia, Edward and Aggie Suez, Ulisse and Rosanne Suez, Jack and Arlene Franco, Angela, Maria and Billy McMichael. He attended Friends Select School in Philadelphia, Keystone Junior College, and La Salle University. Eddie honorably served in the US Army National Guard, and in October of 1961, he was recalled for the Berlin Crisis. After College he joined his father in the Eddie Suez Theatrical Agency and then directed his vocation and interests to teaching. He met his wife Donna, who had a dance act, at His father’s Club Avalon in North Wildwood, NJ. He then worked at Southwark Elementary School for 30 years, teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math. He took an early retirement due to a heart attack. After his retirement, he enjoyed crosswords, clay work, reading, and his two special friends, Arabesque and Gypsy. Eddie was a young man who loved people and had a gentle heart. He was a unique person, and was loved by all. Eddie and Donna had beautiful years full of great love for friends and experiences. A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:00am to 11:00am, on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Rd, Northfield, NJ 08225. A memorial service will follow at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Redeemer Hospice, American Cancer Fund, or Alzheimer’s Association.
